Maternity Photography Lorain Amherst Avon Blog

I have gotten a few requests for maternity... and maternity has been one of the shoots that I have always done and hopefully will continue to do.

I was lucky enough to photograph Nicole here for her maternity and then to also photograph her newborn.

Here are a few shots. Maternity is normally done around the 7.5 to 8 months marks.. right before.. and I always try to include everything the mother to be will want... but then also to give my own flair.

I have so many new ideas and so many things that I want to try even with maternity... but... always needing a beautiful model to do it. I always take pride in making sure that the mother to be is happy though.. and as you can see... shes happy!

 Yes, Thats me... and my family... and this is this year's family photo... as we have grown all each year and try to do something new and different each year. Normally, I work hard to get the camera settings right and use a trigger.. lately my sister has helped to be there.. but she is just pushing a button maybe.

Family photography is something that is needed and wanted by many. Years go by so fast and you have to document your growth.

Photography is an investment.. and even I have to invest... its not like we just showed up and Bam.. the pic was done.. oh no.. not even for my own family.

Post #99 ... wow.. been a good time lately updating and putting up new/old stuff. so.. keeping with the boudoir marathon...
but if you havent read... the few posts have been about a boudoir model marathon this past february... With my recent posts on modeling, there is also the mixture of modeling and boudoir. As most of these women I shoot are interested in lingerie.

Its not always about what you show... but also about what you dont show... 

Last February I was lucky enough to work with a team of hair stylist and a MakeUp artist to pull of my first Boudoir Marathon Session. Running for about 7 hours.. shooting a few different women... all within the guidelines of glamour and boudoir.

As I stated yesterday I did a boudoir marathon this past february... With my recent posts on modeling, there is also the mixture of modeling and boudoir. As most of these women I shoot are interested in lingerie.

I have been posting a few about my work with models... and the repeat models that I have as well. I do get to work with alot of new and upcoming models, which is both good and bad... but good for me because that way I get to work with them and help them. I have been lucky enough to work with Lindsey twice now too.
Here are some from her first shoot with me.. which was also one of her first shoots overall.
One of the biggest reasons to work with Lindsay is her eyes... and she just has that perfect little smile

 

Just with others I've worked with.. there is more to Lindsay than her great looks..  She does know how to work her eyes to her advantage and another thing though, is her personality... and her smile and laugh.

Maternity Photography

Maternity Photography is one of my main specialities. Its actually partially where I started and where I continue to grow .. ha .. grow.. maternity.. get it?  (yeah, i am that funny ) 

As with many of my maternity sessions, they are supposed to be more relaxed.. more special and usually a little more artistic. Above is one of my favorite photos, as it was a struggle to do as a photographer but, that shouldnt matter.. It to me, is a great photo as it does show the true beauty of a mother to be. 

I have been asked to recreate this photo in another maternity session. Its something special to hear people say they want one of my photos as their own.

Even though I have already posted about Boudoir and what it is  (click here to see that post) I am taking a quick moment to post about boudoir again.
For me.. many images, are sexy.. black and white.. intimate.. but never trashy or showing too much. in fact, usually not showing much at all.. its leaving it all up to the eye and to wonder.
